Our Heart Song Herbal Tea is specially blended to help soothe sore throats, fight off illness, calm nerves and reduce stress. This magical potion can put a song in your heart and help the most practiced of singers belt out their arias. Tested over and over on local actresses to keep up their spirit, energy and health during the crazy hours of tech week and performances.

Our Vanilla Tincture, made with Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans, adds a rich, creamy, buttery flavor as well as additional stress relief and anti-inflammatory properties to our Heart Song Herbal Tea.   Yes, the Vanilla Beans were steeped in Brandy.  Did you know that brandy has medicinal properties on it's own?  It  has anti-inflammatory properties and is used to help relieve respiratory issues and coughs.  Your parents, grandparents used it in hot toddies to help with coughs and colds.

The 1 ounce bag of tea will make approximately 12-13 cups of tea (depending on how much tea you use),

Ingredients: Heart Song Herbal Tea:  Dried Lavender, Peppermint, **Licorice Root and Chamomile

Vanilla Tincture (Organic Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans steeped for 6 months in alcohol)

Directions:  Add one heaping tablespoon of Heart Song Tea to your tea diffuser or tea bags.  Steep for two to four minutes.  Make sure you cover your tea while it's seeping to help keep the volatile oils from escaping in the steam.  Add 1 dropperful of vanilla tincture and 1tsp of honey.  This combination continues to be a go to for many vocalists.  It helps with dry, scratchy throats by coating the throat and protecting delicate tissues. The vanilla is a beautiful assist with inflammation and stress, making this a great tea for pre-performance jitters and focus.  One to two cups  per day during tech week or performances.

**Licorice Root:  Not to be used during pregnancy, while nursing.  Contact your physician before using products containing licorice root if you have hypertension, liver disorders, edema, severe kidney insufficiency, low blood potassium, heart disease with edema or congestive heart failure.   These concerns are usually related to herbal extracts, not the whole root.  But we would rather you are safe then sorry!

Please contact us if you would like us to make a batch of Heart Song without the licorice root.

    A Performers Dream

Posted by Mireya Magallon on Dec 10th 2018

Mireya Magallon This tea (with honey and the vanilla tincture she makes) has been a life saver! The spaces we perform in tend to become very dry and thanks to this tea I did not have one moment where I felt that my throat was dry! Also often times our nerves can get the best of us in shows and sometimes mess up happen but if you’re like me, those before show jitters tend to become more like anxiety and be horrendous. HOWEVER, thanks to this stuff my body and mind are calm and ready to tackle anything that live theatre has to throw at me!! It’s INCREDIBLE highly HIGHLy recommend this to any and all of my vocalist/performing friends!!

My husband, son and I all have colds. I made this tea tonight and added a few drops of the vanilla tincture and a little honey. The tea has such a smooth and soothing taste. My husband loved it and my son, who doesnt drink tea, also loved it. Finally something all my family will drink to aid with their colds and congestion. I will be sure to keep this in my cabinet.
